Records of Exotics Slams
The system of keeping records of exotics and recognizing hunter accomplishments was started in 1976. This system is now widely recognized as the beginning of records keeping in the exotics industry.
This system was started by a man named Thompson Temple. Thompson has since become widely renowned as one of the top experts in the exotics industry. The first Records of Exotics Record Book was offered in that same year of 1976 and contained 215 entries.
There are multiple types of slams recognized by the Records of Exotics Record Book. A slam consists of a specific number of species.
1. Texas Ram Slam
Corsican Sheep, Texas Dall Sheep, Mouflon Sheep, and Black Hawaiian Sheep

2. Big Horn Slam (Texas Ram slam+2)
Corsican Sheep, Texas Dall Sheep, Mouflon Sheep, Black Hawaiian Sheep, Catalina Goat and Merino Sheep

3. Cazador Slam
Aoudad Sheep, Axis Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Fallow Deer, and Sika Deer

4. Super Slam (Cazador slam + 5)
Aoudad Sheep, Axis Deer, Blackbuck Antelope, Fallow Deer, Sika Deer, Catalina Goat, Corsican Sheep, Ibex, Mouflon Sheep, and Red Deer

5. Urial Slam
Midnight Urial, Snow Urial, Sand Urial, Mourial

6. Excellence Slam (Big Horn slam + 3)

Any 16 species recognized by the Records of Exotics
